Just some of my favourite breakfast ideas when I don’t feel like spending hours in the kitchen.
- Avocado on toast/ bagel
This, so far, is my all time favourite breakfast. Get some bagels, toast them and spread thick layer of cream cheese. Take an avocado, cut it into thin slices and put it on top of the bagel. Sprinkle some black pepper (freshly grounded if you have is so much better) and Aromat. And that’s it! Heavenly bites!
- Ham and cheese bagel/ toastie
Yes, it’s bagels again. Toasted. With cream cheese again. Slice of ham and cheese and you’re ready to go. Swap the sliced and cream cheese for a non-diary option and the ham for a meat free version, if you want to make this a vegan sandwich. It’s delicious in any ways.
Classic breakfast for me it’s the oats with milk and banana. And from there you can start improvising
with different types of milk and your favourite fruits. So far the winner for me is coconut milk oats with banana, blueberries/ strawberries, honey and chia seeds. [Chia seeds contain large amounts of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, plenty of high-quality protein, and several essential minerals and antioxidants. They may improve digestive health, blood levels of heart-healthy omega-3s, and risk factors for heart disease and diabetes.]
- Homemade scones
I found this easy recipe for classic scones from BBC GoodFood with jam and clotted cream. I recommend it if you feel like doing some baking. I’m no baker and I did fine so I’m sure everyone can do it.
- Peanut butter and jam
Smooth or crunchy? Peanut butter and jam spread on a toasted piece of bread, is an iconic combo for kids and grown ups.
