I might be a bit late with this post but I thought “why not”. If you haven’t seen my other baby related post you can have a look here. Now this is more about the nursery and the baby stuff we use for our little unicorn. It’s different for every baby but these are tested and recommended by me.

  1. One of the main things every baby needs is a place to sleep in. It was difficult choice for us but we were very happy with the outcome. Throughout my research I saw a lot of families are choosing to buy a small cot for newborns but we decided to go for one with 2 levels that goes for up to 3 years olds. Of course, it depends how big is your kid but I believe it can go even up to 4-5 years. You’ll see what I’m talking about in the link below. It also has a drawer under so you can put some baby clothes or blankets. I can’t recommend it enough. Anyway, if you’re looking for a good quality cot that can lasts few years and save some money on it, this one is for you.

And don’t get stressed about a pillow and a duvet because you won’t need any until your baby is at least 1 year old. All you need for the cot is 2 bedsheets – 1 for the bed and 1 to change when it gets dirty, and 1 waterproof mattress protector just in case the nappies don’t work. I found mine here:

2. While we’re on the subject, a great help for a goodnight sleep is this cot mobile I found on Amazon (again). It has calm night music and a light projector of stars on the ceiling. It comes with 3 fairy teddy bears. It’s such a big help during the tough nights. I wish we bought it earlier but I’m glad I found it anyway. Would recommend to everyone.

3. Another important thing you’ll need (if you don’t have a bath at home) is a little baby bath. We live in a small space so we had to go for something small and useful at the same time. I found this one from Amazon and I’m glad I did. After couple of hard times with it, my little one fell in love with it. That’s very important advice I would give to every new mommy. Don’t be scared if your baby doesn’t love the bath time at first. It’s absolutely normal for them to be scared from something new and unknown. Just give them time and be patient.

4. After the second month, your baby will start being more energetic and playful. We got this cute gym/ ball pit for our little monkey and she loves it. It’s a play mat for small babies and a ball pit for when they’re 6 months and up. It’s very easy to change between sets and it comes with sound machine and a lot of small toys for the entertainment of your little one.

5. Now, I was going to write about a nice buggy/ pram/ stroller but to be honest with you, I wouldn’t recommend ours. I’m not saying I don’t like it, it’s pretty nice and decent buggy and it was good money for something so BIG. And that’s the issue, it’s quite big and heavy and if you live on the second, third or whatever floor, you won’t be a big fan of it, like me. And here comes my savior or the times when my partner is not at home and I want to go out for a walk with the little monkey. This simple and so convenient invention is amazing. There’re a lot of different types of baby carriers. You might like the wrap carrier or the backpack type. But if you’re like me and you want a front carrier that’s comfy for you and your baby, I would definitely recommend this one from Amazon (again).

I hope this post helps all the future parents-to-be. Leave a comment or contact me if you have any questions about the items or about anything really. I’d love to chat more with you. Good luck wit the little one and be patient.
